EVO Entertainment to Transform Former Xscape Theatre Into Major New Entertainment Destination in Katy-Fulshear

EVO Entertainment announced June 11 that it has acquired the former Xscape Theatre property at 26616 FM 1093, near the Westheimer Lakes and Cross Creek Ranch neighborhoods, plans to redevelop the site into a nearly 70,000-square-foot entertainment destination aimed at serving the fast-growing Katy-Fulshear community. Construction is expected to begin soon, with the venue scheduled to open in Summer 2027.
The announcement represents another sign of continued growth along the FM 1093 corridor, where residential development, retail expansion, and new amenities continue to reshape the western Houston region. According to EVO Entertainment, the redevelopment will add approximately 35,000 square feet of new family entertainment space to the existing property.

- More than 100 arcade games
- Laser tag

- Gravity ropes courses
- A full-service restaurant and bar
- Private event and party spaces
The existing cinema will also undergo extensive renovations. Two premium EVX auditoriums featuring Dolby Vision® and Dolby Atmos® technology are planned, offering large-format screens, enhanced picture quality, and immersive audio designed to elevate the movie-going experience.
The combination of movies, attractions, dining, and entertainment under one roof reflects a growing trend toward experiential destinations that offer multiple activities for guests of all ages.
