Yorktown Colony Residents: Don’t Miss Tonight’s Annual HOA Meeting, Tennis Key Pickup, and Special Guest Speakers
Tonight marks a key opportunity for Yorktown Colony residents to come together, connect, and contribute to their community at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Yorktown Colony Homeowners Association. The meeting will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Harris County MUD 102 Building, located at 15300 Falmouth Ave, Houston, TX 77084.
As shared in our previous coverage, the annual HOA meeting serves as a vital touchpoint for residents to hear neighborhood updates, vote in board elections, and share ideas for improvement. This year, two additional highlights make tonight’s meeting even more valuable:
Pick Up Your Tennis Court Keys
Residents who use the Colony Community Center tennis courts can obtain new keys at the meeting. A $20 fee applies, and an application must be completed onsite. This is a convenient way for tennis enthusiasts and families to ensure continued access to the courts for recreation and wellness.
Meet the Sheriff’s Office
The Harris County Sheriff's Office will also be present to share important updates and safety tips relevant to the neighborhood. Their attendance adds a layer of community engagement and transparency, and residents are encouraged to take this opportunity to ask questions or raise any safety concerns directly with local law enforcement.

Hear from Special Guest Speakers
The evening will also feature brief remarks from two respected community leaders:
-
Brian Rogers, president of Georgetown Colony HOA, who will speak about shared neighborhood goals and the importance of regional cooperation between nearby communities.
-
Tiffany Krenek, president and CEO of My Neighborhood News, who will speak about how her team supports Yorktown Colony through a dedicated community webpage, a custom e-newsletter, and soon, social media support—all designed to deliver neighborhood updates in multiple formats for better connectivity. She’ll also share how My Neighborhood News is partnering with the HOA to help reach all residents—homeowners and renters alike—to keep everyone informed, engaged, and connected year-round.
Why Your Presence Matters
Whether you're a longtime homeowner or a newer member of the community, your involvement matters. Participating in HOA elections and discussions helps build a more informed, secure, and connected neighborhood. Even if you don’t plan to speak, your attendance counts toward quorum and shows your commitment to making Yorktown Colony the best it can be.
