Yorktown Colony Celebrates Holiday Cheer with Santa Snapshots and Dazzling Lights
It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Yorktown Colony, and the community is feeling the holiday magic! From sweet moments with Santa to twinkling displays across the neighborhood, residents are ringing in the season with joy, togetherness, and a touch of sparkle.
Recently, families gathered for the Pictures with Santa event, a heartwarming tradition that brought smiles to kids and adults alike. While attendance wasn’t quite as high as anticipated, those who joined in on the fun were treated to a cozy and cheerful atmosphere thanks to the dedicated efforts of volunteers. Special thanks go out to Martha and Libby, whose festive spirit lit up the event as brightly as any holiday lights. From handing out candies to spreading cheer, they helped make the day one to remember.

Now, the neighborhood is preparing for one of the season’s most beloved traditions: the Yorktown Colony Holiday Light Contest. Judging is set to take place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, and the community is already aglow with decorations that are bigger, brighter, and more beautiful than ever.
Whether it’s twinkling icicles, glowing inflatables, or traditional red-and-green displays, the creativity and holiday pride throughout the neighborhood have truly shined this year. One HOA Board member remarked, “Since I’ve lived in Yorktown, I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many houses decorated so beautifully for Christmas.”
