Registration Open for Harris County ESD No. 48 Fire Department's Camp Spark

Register NOW for Harris County ESD No. 48 Fire Department's 2nd annual Camp Spark, set to take place from June 6 to 8, 2023. Camp Spark is open to 25 female students that are between 14 and 18 years of age and is completely free of charge to participants thanks to the generous sponsors. Camp Spark will provide a unique insight into life as a Firefighter and/or EMS professional to encourage young women to consider fire and EMS service as a career.

Camp Spark participants will take part in a fun-filled three-day camp of physical training, classes and Fire/EMS simulations. They will also have the chance to ask questions, train, and interact with female firefighters and medics from HCESD48 and other Great Houston Area departments!
 
 
Harris County ESD No. 48 Fire Department is currently working to introduce Camp Blaze for young men between 14 and 18. Stay tuned for information!

About Harris County ESD No. 48 Fire Department

Our response area spans 45 square miles across the western portion of unincorporated Harris County. The general boundaries are Katy-Fort Bend Road to the west, Clay Road to the north, Westheimer Parkway to the south, and Barker Road to the east.

We are responsible for portions of Interstate 10 and the Grand Parkway, creeks to the north and south of I-10, multiple mid-rise buildings, approximately 150,000 residents in subdivisions, numerous apartment complexes, more than 20 Katy I.S.D schools (elementary through high school), and many commercial businesses of all sizes.
