New McDonald’s Coming to Clay and Fry in 2026, Just Minutes from Cypress Meadow
A brand-new McDonald’s is coming to the Clay Road corridor, bringing more than just burgers and fries to the edge of the Cypress Meadow neighborhood. Located at 19950 Clay Rd, Katy, TX 77449, near the intersection with Fry Road, this upcoming fast-food site will feature a dual-lane drive-thru and all-new site work on a 4,310-square-foot facility, designed to accommodate the fast pace and digital habits of today’s drive-thru diners.
According to publicly filed permits, construction will begin in early December 2025, with projected completion of mid-April 2026 and an estimated construction cost of $750,000.

This isn’t just another fast-food spot for locals. For Cypress Meadow families, students, and commuters, it means faster access to breakfast favorites, seasonal specials, and even new tech-friendly options like mobile ordering and loyalty perks through the McDonald’s app.
The restaurant's dual-lane drive-thru, located behind the building, is part of McDonald’s broader push to modernize its infrastructure and reduce wait times. This layout will support growing demand for mobile pick-up orders, a major priority under the company’s ongoing “Accelerating the Arches” plan to expand digital and delivery channels.

The timing couldn’t be better. The new Clay Road McDonald’s is slated to open just as the company is rolling out some of its most exciting menu updates in years:

Snack Wraps are back as of July 10, 2025, after nearly a decade off the menu. Both ranch and spicy chicken varieties are available, drawing long lines in test markets and high praise online.

The Spicy McMuffin lineup, launched in July to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Egg McMuffin, adds a flavorful twist to the breakfast menu with a bold pepper sauce—perfect for on-the-go mornings in Cypress Meadow.
