National Charity League, Inc., Star Chapter Recognizes Senior Class of 2024 for Achievements

January 02 2024

On Sunday, January 14, 2024, the Class of 2024 will be recognized and celebrated for completing their six-year program of The National Charity League, Inc., Star Chapter.

"[The National Charity League, Inc.] fosters the mother-daughter relationship and empowers today’s girls to become tomorrow’s leaders through service to their community and chapter,” said Shani Matheson, National Charity League, Inc., Star Chapter President.

Over the past six years, these young ladies, alongside their mothers, have contributed over 7,580 volunteer hours at 29 local charities, including Katy Christian Ministries, The Ballard House, Neighborhood Kidz Club, Citizens for Animal Protection, Fort Bend Women’s Center, The Hangar, The Brookwood Community, Willow River Farms, Texas Children’s Pediatrics and The Delaney at Parkway Lakes.

The Class of 2024 not only serves their community through volunteering and service, they also have the opportunity to gain leadership skills by holding board or liaison positions within the chapter where they conduct meetings utilizing parliamentary procedure; organize class retreats; plan and lead annual chapter-wide social and philanthropy events including Holiday Philanthropy Fair, Mother-Daughter Tea and host Senior Recognition of the class before them. They have also expanded their cultural awareness by attending ballet, opera, musical and other theater performances.

“It has been a joy watching these girls’ journey through NCL. They began as sweet, shy girls eager to learn and have grown into confident young ladies ready to spread their wings and embrace all that life has to offer. Whatever their next journey, we know they are prepared to lead and serve. Their futures are endless,” proudly said Shani Matheson, NCL Inc., Star Chapter President.

The seniors honored this year are: Lauren Adams, Erin Alanis, Marlowe Ambrose, Kendall Cooley, Claire Estes, Amanda Eubanks, Shruti Godbole, Grace Huizingh, Sarah Ivey, Karlianna Kapche, Hannah Knicely, Rowan Knox, Alexandra Matheson, Hannah Nichols, Faith Piper, Allison Reuber and Kayla Rossi.

The Star Chapter wishes to see these accomplished young ladies shine bright into the future!
