Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show Partners with Katy Community Expo for a Weekend of Inspiration and Connection
This August, the Katy Merrell Center will transform into a one-stop destination for homeowners, DIY enthusiasts, and community supporters alike, as the Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show joins forces with the Katy Community Expo. The collaborative event, running August 23–24, 2025, promises to offer attendees everything from cutting-edge home design solutions to opportunities to connect with local businesses, charities, and organizations that make Katy unique.
Two Events, One Roof, Endless Ideas
The Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show, produced by RJC Productions, will once again spotlight hundreds of local and national exhibitors showcasing innovative products and services for the home. From kitchen and bath remodels to outdoor living trends, smart home technology, and sustainable landscaping solutions, the show is designed to inspire homeowners to transform their spaces and lifestyles. Live demonstrations will also take center stage, featuring experts showcasing the latest in kitchen, bath, flooring, and home technology.
At the same time, the Katy Community Expo, organized by Stacie Bowles of Home for the Holidays Gift Market, will highlight local businesses, non-profits, and community organizations with interactive booths, giveaways, and exclusive show deals. Attendees can connect with service providers, shop local artisans in the Crafter’s Corner, explore health and wellness options, and even meet professionals in finance and legal services.
A Family-Friendly Community Experience
Adding to the appeal is a dedicated second-floor “Kid’s Coral,” featuring hands-on activities including LEGO® building stations, face painting, and interactive play zones. Families can also enjoy fun foods, pet-friendly shopping, and hands-on experiences like creative crafts and community connection opportunities.
For seniors, the popular Thrive After 55 Showcase returns, offering resources and expert advice tailored to active adult lifestyles. Guests can also enter to win a $250 Show Shopping Spree, take advantage of show-only discounts, and enjoy sampling local sweets and treats throughout the weekend.
A Mission Rooted in Community
The partnership between these two established events spotlights the shared commitment of producers Robyn and Jeff Cade of RJC Productions and Stacie Bowles of Home for the Holidays to support local businesses and foster community engagement. RJC Productions, founded in 2005, has long been known for delivering quality home and lifestyle shows across Texas. Bowles, whose markets attract more than 150,000 attendees annually, has built a reputation for celebrating artisans and small businesses through her gift and craft markets.
Both organizations are deeply tied to the Katy area and beyond, helping small businesses thrive while creating spaces for families to discover new ideas, connect with neighbors, and celebrate local talent.
