Judson ISD Registration Now Open: What Families Need to Know Before the 2026-27 School Year Begins

June 15 2026

As summer break continues, Judson ISD is encouraging families to check one important item off their back-to-school to-do list early: student registration for the 2026-27 school year.

Registration is now open for both returning and new students, giving families an opportunity to secure schedules, update records, and avoid the last-minute rush that often accompanies the start of a new school year. District officials are reminding parents that all returning students must complete Returning Student Registration, even if their child attended a Judson ISD campus during the previous school year.

For thousands of families across Converse, Kirby, Live Oak, Selma, Universal City, and surrounding communities served by Judson ISD, completing registration now can help ensure a smoother transition into the upcoming academic year.

Why Early Registration Matters for Judson ISD Families

While registration may seem like a routine administrative task, it plays an important role in helping schools prepare for the year ahead. Accurate enrollment numbers help campuses finalize class schedules, staffing plans, transportation routes, and student services before the first day of school.

For parents, completing registration early can reduce stress later in the summer and help ensure students are ready when classes begin.

Families can complete registration and find detailed requirements through the district's registration portal at JudsonISD.org/registration.

Key Registration Deadlines for the 2026-27 School Year

Several important enrollment opportunities are currently available through Judson ISD.

The School of Choice Application remains open through July 24, 2026, allowing eligible students to apply for campuses outside their attendance zone.

The district's Out of District Interest Form is open through June 15, 2026, followed by the formal application period running from June 15 through July 24, 2026.

Returning student registration opened on May 18, 2026, while registration for new students residing within Judson ISD attendance boundaries is also underway.

In-Person Registration Hubs Available This Summer

Recognizing that some families may need assistance navigating the registration process, Judson ISD is once again offering on-site Registration Hubs throughout the summer.

District staff will be available to help families complete registration, answer questions, and provide support with required documentation.

One feature designed to make the process easier is that families can register all of their students at a single location, regardless of which campus or feeder pattern they belong to.

Registration Hub locations include:

  • Metzger Middle School (Wagner Feeder Pattern Hub)
  • Copperfield Elementary School (Judson Feeder Pattern Hub)
  • Selma Elementary School (Veterans Memorial Feeder Pattern Hub)

All families are welcome to visit any of the three sites.

Registration Hub Hours

From June 3 through July 2, hubs will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

From July 6 through July 24, hubs will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Evening Registration Assistance Offered at JTECH

For working parents and families unable to visit during regular business hours, Judson ISD is also providing evening registration assistance at JTECH, located at7990 Pat Booker Rd, Live Oak, TX 78233.

Staff will be available from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the following dates:

  • June 24
  • July 15
  • July 20

The additional evening hours are intended to give families more flexibility as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

Preparing for a Strong Start

As the first day of school approaches, completing registration is one of the most important steps families can take to help students begin the year successfully. Whether enrolling a child for the first time, updating information for a returning student, or exploring School of Choice opportunities, Judson ISD is offering multiple pathways to make the process as convenient as possible.

For many families, getting registration completed now means one less thing to worry about later—and a smoother start when students return to classrooms this fall.

What Happens Next?

Families who have not yet completed registration are encouraged to do so before summer deadlines arrive. Those needing assistance can take advantage of the district's registration hubs or evening support sessions throughout June and July.
