Exposing Black Artistry: Culture Winners Announced
On February 17, Fort Bend County's Expose Excellence Youth Program presented "Exposing Black Artistry: Culture", a celebration of cultural music, food and art of the African diaspora. The event was held at the Landmark Center in Missouri City, where selected poems, short stories and art previously submitted by middle and high school students residing in Fort Bend County were presented to attendees. All submissions were judged by local authors, writers and journalists.

The top three winners in two categories were awarded during the event and presented with a certificate.

The event also included a collaborative art activity and cultural performances. Partners and sponsors included Bedrock City Comic Company, The Rustic Brush DIY Studio in Sugar Land, Fort Bend Health & Human Services, Fort Bend County District Attorney, ARTreach, and Moms Demand Action (MAD).
