Registration Information
Katy ISD offers an online registration system for new students, utilizing PowerSchool Enrollment to streamline the process. The registration requires various documents to be gathered and uploaded prior to submission, including proof of residence, government-issued identification, official birth certificate, proof of immunizations, and a report card or transcript from the most recently attended school. The district also provides a support team that processes registrations, potentially contacts parents for additional documents, and confirms completion through email with further guidance.
Please keep in mind that a new student is defined as ever having attended a Katy ISD school, including incoming kindergarten students, as well as students who have withdrawn from the district and is looking to re-enroll. Visit the Katy ISD online enrollment page to learn more.
Student Transportation
This fall, Katy ISD is launching a new bus rider tracking system, SMART tag, on all their buses. This system will allow parents to monitor their child's ridership and bus route in real time through the SMART Tag app. To learn more, including attendance zones, visit the Katy ISD transportation website.
