Dominique Dawes Academy Preparing to Open Spring Location in August 2026

As the newly opened Jersey Village location begins welcoming students, Dominique Dawes Academy is already looking ahead to its next milestone in the Houston region: a new facility planned for late summer 2026 in Spring.

The upcoming academy, located at 19750 Springs Park Creek Blvd, Spring, TX 77373 near Interstate 45, in the former Sears Outlet store, is expected to open in August and will become the organization's second Houston-area location, following the recent grand opening of the Jersey Village location, and eighth overall.

For families in Spring, Klein, The Woodlands, North Houston, and surrounding communities, the opening will bring a nationally expanding youth athletics program founded by Olympic gold medalist Dominique Dawes and centered on confidence-building, movement, and child development.

A Different Philosophy in Youth Sports

The Dominique Dawes Academy brand was built around a mission that extends beyond gymnastics instruction.

Dawes, a three-time Olympian and Olympic gold medalist, has spent much of her post-competitive career advocating for healthier environments in youth athletics. Through the academy, she has sought to create spaces where children feel encouraged to take risks, learn new skills, and develop confidence without the pressures that have historically been associated with elite gymnastics programs.

Founded in 2020, the academy has expanded steadily across multiple states while maintaining a focus on positive coaching and child well-being.

The Spring location will continue that approach through gymnastics and ninja-style training programs designed for a variety of ages and experience levels.

Early Enrollment Already Underway

Families interested in the new Spring location are already able to secure early enrollment opportunities before the facility opens.

The academy is currently offering a limited-time registration promotion that includes:

  • Reduced registration costs
  • Priority access to class scheduling
  • Invitations to sample classes
  • Access to grand opening activities featuring Dominique Dawes

Interest has been strong as families begin planning extracurricular activities for the upcoming school year.

For many parents, enrolling early provides an opportunity to secure preferred class times before the academy officially opens its doors.

Designed for Children and Parents

According to the academy, the Spring facility has been designed with both athletes and families in mind.

Planned features include:

  • Modern gymnastics equipment
  • Age-appropriate skill development spaces
  • Climate-controlled training areas
  • Parent viewing areas
  • Open sightlines throughout the gym

The facility will offer gymnastics and ninja programs intended to support physical fitness while also helping children develop teamwork, perseverance, and self-confidence.

Building Confidence Beyond the Gym Floor

One aspect that has helped distinguish Dominique Dawes Academy as it expands nationally is its emphasis on character development.

The academy's core values include grit, growth, kindness, leadership, courage, and positive energy. Those principles are reinforced through the organization's "Gold Medal Moments" recognition program, which celebrates students who demonstrate these traits during class.

For Dawes, who is also a mother of four, the goal has long been to create environments where children leave feeling successful regardless of their skill level.

Her broader advocacy work has included service on the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, national youth development initiatives, and efforts focused on self-esteem and wellness for young people.

What the New Location Means for Spring Families

The Spring area continues to experience residential growth, bringing increasing demand for youth sports, enrichment programs, and family-oriented recreation opportunities.

The arrival of Dominique Dawes Academy adds another option for parents seeking activities that encourage both physical activity and personal development.

Whether children are interested in gymnastics fundamentals, ninja-style obstacle training, or simply finding a supportive environment to stay active, the academy aims to provide an accessible entry point for participation.

As construction and final preparations continue, families across Spring and North Houston will soon have the opportunity to experience the program firsthand when doors open later this summer.

What Happens Next

Dominique Dawes Academy expects to open its Spring location in August 2026, with enrollment opportunities already available ahead of the launch.

The opening will complete the company's initial Houston-area expansion and establish two locations serving families across both Northwest and North Houston.
