Discover Group Day Trips in Harris County Precinct 4

Are you an active adult and a current resident of Harris County Precinct 4? If so, Precinct 4 invites you to participate in diverse day trips specifically designed for you! Aimed at active adults over the age of 50, this unique offering provides both educational and recreational activities that not only get active adults out of the house, but also foster a sense of community.

Whether you are part of a church group, a civic association, a gardening club, or a community service organization, there's a spot on the bus waiting for you, given your group is located within the boundaries of Precinct 4 and all members are 50 years and older. All it takes is a registered Trip Coordinator and a Group Contact form to set the wheels in motion.

Precinct 4 even has a few day trips lined up, with no planning required!

Senior Birding Bus Trip

Friday, February 16, 2024 at Kleb Woods Nature Center

Transportation is provided for individuals 50 and older through Harris County Precinct 4. The vans will pick up and drop off participants at the Nature Center parking lot. Senior Birding Bus Trip

Friday, March 22, 2024 at Kleb Woods Nature Center

Join us to look for Golden-cheeked Warblers and other Hill Country birds. Transportation is provided for individuals 50 and older through Harris County Precinct 4. Join us to search for Bachman’s Sparrow, Red-cockaded Woodpecker, and Prairie Warbler in East Texas. Transportation is provided for individuals 50 and older through Harris County Precinct 4. The vans will pick up and drop off participants at the Environmental Education Center parking lot. REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 15 AT 9:00 AM, and registration is required. Click here to register. From Tuesday through Sunday, Precinct 4 buses operate for day trips, departing at 7:00 AM or later. Passengers are allowed to travel up to 150 miles from the designated pick up location, with a maximum total of eight hours. Added bonus: passengers can even bring food and non-alcoholic beverages on board. Just make sure that beverages are not in a glass container. Depending on the size of your group, buses that can accommodate 14, 26, and 40 passengers are available for Precinct 4's day trips.
