Converse National Night Out Invites Hightop Ridge Families to North Park
The Converse Police Department is inviting residents to gather at Converse North Park for National Night Out from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. The free event at 8200 Spring Town in Converse offers families from Hightop Ridge a chance to meet local officers and spend an evening with neighbors.
Hosted by the Converse Police Department, the event is intended to bring residents and first responders together under positive circumstances. Rather than meeting only during calls for service or emergencies, families can talk with officers, learn more about the people serving their community and strengthen connections with other local residents.
National Night Out is an annual nationwide campaign promoting police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and crime-prevention awareness. The City of Converse says the program is designed to support local anti-crime efforts, increase awareness of crime and drug prevention, strengthen neighborhood spirit and encourage participation in community gatherings.
For Hightop Ridge residents, the celebration provides a simple way to become more connected to the larger Converse community. Families can stop by North Park during the two-hour event, introduce themselves to local first responders and help build the familiarity between neighbors that National Night Out is meant to encourage.
