Williamsburg Settlement Welcomes New Directors
At the April 16 annual meeting of Williamsburg Settlement Association members, two new directors, Chris Schweigert and John Martin, were elected to replace departing directors Lance Gordon and Chuck O’Connor, who were thanked for their service these past few years.
Chris is a 30-year-old project manager in the commercial general contracting industry, which specializes in projects similar to Discovery Green Park, Buffalo Bayou Park, and private recreation centers. In his free time, he enjoys rebuilding his Classic Bronco, spending time at the park with his wife and dogs (when the temperature is below 100 degrees!), and hiking trips to Colorado. He is an avid outdoorsman, automotive enthusiast, and tradesman. Chris graduated from the University of Houston with a BS in Construction Management, and grew up in Sugarland/Missouri City, moving to the Katy Area in 2017.
John and his wife moved into the Settlement in 2014. He is a teacher at Morton Ranch High School and a proud member of this community. John and his wife have 2 kids, ages 7 and 1, and love living in the neighborhood. John says that he would like to help create a more connected community within the Settlement and bring awareness to the issues that we are facing. He will work to improve Board transparency and to increase resident participation in activities sponsored by the Board. John says that he will serve the community as the type of board member that he would want to have representing him.
The Williamsburg Settlement Association is fortunate to have two such eager and enthusiastic new directors and look forward to many productive years ahead. Please join us in welcoming Chris and John to the Board!
