Watch the Total Solar Eclipse at Your Local Library on April 8
On Monday, April 8, the Lone Star College - Tomball Community Library is hosting a special event to celebrate the total solar eclipse day. This celestial phenomenon, as explained by NASA, occurs when the Moon completely obscures the Sun, casting a twilight ambiance. The alignment of the Sun, Moon, and Earth creates this extraordinary sight.
From 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Families are invited to join in the festivities at the library's Community Engagement area, where they can engage in crafts and activities related to the solar eclipse. The highlight of the event is the outdoor viewing of the eclipse. For safety, the library will provide a limited supply of solar eclipse glasses, one per family, on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are advised to bring their own glasses if possible.
The peak of the eclipse in Tomball is expected around 1:40 PM, offering a thrilling chance for the community to witness this stunning celestial display together.
