Support Junior Troop 129048 at Their Girl Scout Cookie Booth & Service Project for CAP

March 10 2025

Residents have an exciting opportunity to support local Girl Scouts and make a difference for shelter animals at the same time! Junior Troop 129048 will be hosting a Girl Scout Cookie booth on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), located at 17555 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094.

This event is more than just a cookie sale—it’s a chance to support a service-minded troop that is dedicated to giving back to the community. At the conclusion of the cookie season, the troop plans to donate supplies to CAP, provide Girl Scout cookies to CAP employees, and participate in a hands-on service project benefiting the shelter animals.

Why Support the Girl Scout Cookie Program?

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the nation’s largest girl-led entrepreneurial program, teaching young scouts important life skills such as goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. By purchasing cookies from Junior Troop 129048, residents are not only enjoying classic favorites like Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, and Trefoils, but they are also helping these young girls fund community projects, leadership activities, and skill-building opportunities.

A Sweet Way to Give Back

What makes this cookie booth event even more special is the troop’s commitment to service. By hosting their booth at Citizens for Animal Protection, the scouts are raising awareness for pet adoption and animal welfare while actively contributing to a cause they care about. CAP, a nonprofit animal shelter in West Houston near Katy, provides adoption services, veterinary care, and community education to help animals in need find their forever homes.

At the end of cookie season, Troop 129048 will take their commitment a step further by:

  • Donating supplies for the shelter animals, including food, toys, and blankets.

  • Providing Girl Scout Cookies to CAP employees as a gesture of appreciation for their hard work.

  • Participating in a hands-on service project at CAP to directly assist the organization and its animals.

  1. Stop by the cookie booth on March 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at CAP.
