SIRE to Host Annual All SIRE Holiday Show in Fort Bend County

October 09 2023

This December, SIRE will host its annual All SIRE Holiday Show, a beloved tradition that gives SIRE riders an opportunity to participate in friendly competitions and showcase their skills, along with family activities like photos with Santa, holiday arts and crafts and more.

On Saturday, December 9, just prior to SIRE's winter break, this highly anticipated event will be held at SIRE's Fort Bend County location, with plenty of ways for the community to get involved as spectators and supporters. The All SIRE Holiday Show also acts as an important fundraising opportunity for the organization. Contributions help SIRE continue to bring the healing power of horses to children and adults of all ages. The event is open the the public and everyone can be involved in a variety of fundraising avenues.

Riders, volunteers, staff, family and friends create fundraising pages or make donations to help raise critical dollars for a variety of specific needs at SIRE. This year's fundraising goal of $65,000 will support scholarships, operations, and care for SIRE horses. In addition, donations enhance programs for military veterans and individuals with physical, emotional, social, or mental challenges and disabilities.

Please join SIRE as a virtual rider, sponsor or event attendee. Explore the many ways to get involved in the fun for this exciting event.

All SIRE Holiday Show Sponsorships

This event is a fundraiser for both the Spring and Fort Bend locations. Participants in SIRE's equine-assisted learning (EAL) programs actively fundraise to help fill the gap between what they pay and the actual cost to participate in the EAL programs at SIRE.

SIRE sponsors are also key to filling that funding gap. Without that extra assistance, many of SIRE's participants would be unable to receive the enrichment and success EAL brings to them weekly. Sponsors also help support other significant areas like the care for SIRE's herd, which is the lifeblood of their life-changing programs. Family, Friends, Volunteers & Staff

Do you know someone who benefits from the programs at SIRE? Perhaps you are a volunteer who sees the positive changes in our riders or witnesses the physical or emotional success stories every time you step into the arena. Maybe you are a family member of someone involved with SIRE. Or perhaps you just LOVE the mission of SIRE.

No matter your connection, SIRE needs your help, too in raising support for all our participants. No matter the amount raised, every dollar helps SIRE to provide a community where horses help people with disabilities and challenges to live their best life.

Founded in the Houston area in 1983, SIRE has grown from serving a few riders each week with borrowed facilities and horses to providing over 10,000 instructional hours per year through riding and training programs in Spring, The Woodlands, Fulshear and northeast Harris County. Riders reside in six counties in the Houston metropolitan and outlying areas, with the majority residing in Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties. SIRE aims to provide a community where horses help people with disabilities and challenges to live their best life.
