Seven Lakes Volleyball Star Willtrace “Wiggles” Ngoh Named Under Armour Next All-American, Joining Nation’s Top 28 Players
For Seven Lakes High School volleyball standout Willtrace “Wiggles” Ngoh, years of early workouts, extra practice sessions and dedication to her teammates have led to a moment few high school athletes experience. The Katy ISD senior has been named an Under Armour Next All-American, earning a place among just 28 student-athletes nationwide selected for the prestigious volleyball honor.
The achievement was celebrated during a special jersey presentation in the Seven Lakes High School gymnasium in Katy, Texas, where Ngoh was surrounded by family, friends, coaches and teammates. The ceremony recognized not only her accomplishments on the volleyball court, but also the commitment that has helped her become one of the country's top high school volleyball players.
“I get to represent more than myself,” Ngoh said. “I get to represent my school, my family and everyone who has supported me and believed in me throughout my journey.”
For the Seven Lakes Spartans and the greater Katy community, Ngoh's national recognition is another reason to celebrate a student-athlete whose success has extended well beyond her high school gym.
From Seven Lakes High School to National Volleyball Recognition
Standing 6 feet tall, Ngoh has become known for her explosive athleticism, powerful hitting ability and presence at the net. During the 2026 volleyball season, she set a Seven Lakes High School single-season record for blocks, adding another accomplishment to an already impressive athletic résumé.
Her athletic abilities extend beyond volleyball. Ngoh can also dunk a basketball, a reflection of the jumping ability and coordination that make her such a challenging opponent at the net.
But Seven Lakes Volleyball Coach Amy Cataline says Ngoh's physical abilities tell only part of the story.
“She has instinctive, raw athleticism,” Cataline said. “But what you don’t see is the work she puts in when she’s not on the court. There aren’t too many players who will ask me over the summer to open up the weight room or gym so they can get more reps in. She’s an All-American because of her work ethic and coachability.”
That willingness to put in additional work has helped Ngoh develop into a nationally recognized volleyball prospect while continuing to contribute to the Seven Lakes program.
International Gold Medals and a Volleyball Future at USC
Ngoh's accomplishments aren't limited to high school competition in Katy. She has also represented the United States internationally, earning gold medals while competing overseas with the USA U19 and U23 national volleyball teams.
Those experiences have given her opportunities to train and compete alongside some of the nation's most talented young volleyball players. Ngoh has described the chance to learn from elite athletes while representing her country as an experience of a lifetime.
Her success has also opened the door to collegiate volleyball at one of the country's prominent athletic programs.
Ngoh has verbally committed to play volleyball at the University of Southern California (USC), where she plans to continue her academic and athletic career after graduating from Seven Lakes High School.
The commitment represents another significant step for the Katy ISD volleyball standout, whose combination of athleticism, determination and coachability has earned praise from her high school coach.
Cataline believes those qualities will serve Ngoh well as she prepares to compete at the NCAA Division I level.
One More Goal: A UIL State Volleyball Championship for Seven Lakes
Despite the national awards, international gold medals and collegiate opportunities, Ngoh still has unfinished business with the Seven Lakes Spartans.
Her immediate focus remains on helping her teammates compete for a University Interscholastic League (UIL) state volleyball championship during the 2026 Texas high school volleyball playoffs.
For Ngoh, the final stretch of her high school volleyball career offers an opportunity to continue building on the relationships and experiences she has shared with her teammates.
The Under Armour Next All-American recognition also brings national attention to Seven Lakes High School and the Katy ISD athletics program, highlighting the talent and dedication of student-athletes competing in the Katy area.
While Ngoh's next chapter will take her to Southern California, she still has games to play in a Seven Lakes uniform. And with the Spartans pursuing a state championship, there may be more memorable moments ahead for the player her teammates and supporters know as Wiggles.
