R&R CraftHouse Grill Coming to Katy’s Elyson Area in November 2026, Bringing Cajun Favorites, Handcrafted Burgers and More
Katy residents have another restaurant opening to look forward to this fall. R&R CraftHouse Grill, a family-owned Cypress restaurant known for its handcrafted burgers, Cajun-inspired comfort food and friendly neighborhood atmosphere, is preparing to open its second location at 6845 Peek Road in Katy's Elyson area in November 2026.
The new restaurant will bring a mix of American favorites and Louisiana-inspired dishes to the growing Peek Road corridor near FM 529, giving Elyson families and residents of surrounding northwest Katy neighborhoods another option for lunch, dinner or a casual evening out with friends.
For owners Kyle and Jeanne LeBeouf, the Katy expansion is an important milestone in a restaurant journey that began four years ago when the couple purchased R&R CraftHouse Grill in Cypress. What started as a commitment to serving good food in a comfortable, welcoming setting has grown into a business ready to welcome customers in a second Houston-area community.
Four Years of Family Ownership Lead to R&R CraftHouse Grill's Katy Expansion
R&R CraftHouse Grill has built its following around a combination of Louisiana cooking traditions, American comfort food and the kind of casual hospitality that encourages customers to return.
When Kyle and Jeanne LeBeouf purchased the Cypress restaurant four years ago, they set out to create a place where guests could enjoy a good meal, cold drinks and time together without needing a special occasion.
In a fourth-anniversary announcement shared on the restaurant's Facebook page, the owners reflected on the journey and thanked the customers and employees who helped make the expansion possible.

The anniversary announcement also marked the first public introduction of plans for a second restaurant in Katy.
“We’re growing! R&R CraftHouse Grill is proud to announce our second location coming to Katy, Texas!”
The owners initially targeted September 2026 for the opening, but the anticipated timeframe has since shifted to November 2026. A specific grand opening date has not yet been announced.
The original R&R CraftHouse Grill is located at 12910 Malcomson Road in Cypress, where the restaurant has become known for its extensive menu, neighborhood bar and Louisiana-influenced cooking.
The Katy expansion will bring that same restaurant concept to a new community while giving longtime Cypress customers another location to visit.
What's on the Menu at R&R CraftHouse Grill?
Although burgers are a major part of the restaurant's identity, R&R CraftHouse Grill offers considerably more than a traditional burger menu.
Its handcrafted burgers are made with a house blend of chuck, brisket and short rib, seasoned with the restaurant's own spices and served on signature egg twist buns. Customers can choose from different toppings and combinations, with options ranging from familiar cheeseburgers to more elaborate specialty creations.
The restaurant's Louisiana roots are especially apparent in its Cajun-inspired dishes.
One of its more distinctive menu items, Evelyn's Boudin Poboy, features fried boudin balls, melted Monterey Jack cheese and chicken-and-andouille gumbo on New Orleans-style bread. The Cajun Club Poboy combines ham, turkey, roast beef, three cheeses, jalapeño mayonnaise and house beef gravy.
Other Louisiana favorites include chicken-and-andouille sausage gumbo, red beans and rice with smoked sausage, and fried boudin balls.
Appetizers are another significant part of the menu, with choices such as boudin roll-ups served with sweet pepper jelly, bacon-wrapped beef stuffed with cheese and jalapeños, fried cheese curds, onion rings and pretzel sticks with Creole mustard.
For those looking for something other than burgers or Cajun food, the Cypress restaurant also serves steaks, seafood, chicken entrées, salads, tacos, flatbreads and sandwiches. A children's menu offers familiar choices for younger diners.
The restaurant also features a selection of cocktails and other beverages, making it a casual gathering place for friends and families.
Beyond the menu, R&R CraftHouse Grill is also putting considerable attention into the look and feel of its new Katy restaurant. According to an update shared by the restaurant, plans include a complete interior refresh featuring brick veneer, rich wainscoting throughout, custom lighting and a redesigned layout intended to improve the dining experience. The updates are designed to bring the warm, slightly more upscale CraftHouse atmosphere familiar to Cypress customers to the new Elyson location.
In announcing the new Katy restaurant, R&R CraftHouse Grill confirmed that customers can expect the familiar menu and service offered at its Cypress location, along with some additions.
“You can expect the same great menu, the same excellent service, and plenty of new surprises!”
Specific menu additions planned for Katy have not yet been announced.
R&R CraftHouse Grill Joins Growing Restaurant Scene Along Peek Road in Katy
The new R&R CraftHouse Grill will open in an area of northwest Katy where the selection of nearby restaurants and businesses has been steadily expanding.
Located at 6845 Peek Road, Suite 100, the restaurant will join a developing commercial center near the Elyson and Anniston communities, just north of the Grand Parkway.
Other businesses planned for the same development include PERA Cocktails and Kitchen, a new cocktail lounge from longtime Katy restaurateurs Zack and Carmen Kuru, and Alchemy Bake Lab, a local bakery known for its specialty baked goods and desserts.
Farther along Peek Road, Culver's opened its Katy restaurant in August 2025, bringing another casual dining option to the area.
These additions are particularly relevant for residents of Elyson, Anniston and nearby communities who have watched new homes go up along the FM 529 and Peek Road corridors. As more families settle in, the demand for restaurants, shopping and everyday services closer to home continues to grow.
For R&R CraftHouse Grill, the location offers an opportunity to introduce its food and hospitality to a new group of customers while staying relatively close to its Cypress roots.
When Will R&R CraftHouse Grill Open in Katy?
R&R CraftHouse Grill is expected to open its Katy location in November 2026, although an exact grand opening date and operating hours have not yet been announced.
The restaurant's original September 2026 opening target has been pushed back, and residents should watch for an official announcement as November approaches.
