School Starts August 17

KISD is back in session August 17, so here is your friendly reminder to observe school zone and other speed limits and to be mindful of youngsters biking or walking to and from school. It is also worth noting that using a cell phone in a school zone with a car in motion results in a $200 ticket.
Additionally, if a school bus has alternating flashing red signals in front or back, drivers must stop before reaching the bus. Violators face fines of up to $1,250 for a first offense.
And finally, please remember that the speed limit on NC streets is 25 mph. Thank you for your cooperation and doing your part to help keep our neighborhood safe.
