REMINDER: Holiday Trash & Recycling Schedule: What Anniston Residents Need to Know
As the holiday season approaches, residents of Anniston are reminded to plan ahead for changes to trash and recycling services provided by Best Trash. With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day all falling on scheduled service days, Best Trash has released an updated holiday schedule to help the community stay informed and prepared.
Holiday Collection Interruptions – Mark Your Calendars
To give their hardworking crews time with their families, Best Trash will not be collecting trash on the following holidays:
Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27)
- Regular trash pickup will resume on Monday, December 1
Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25)
- Service resumes Monday, December 29
New Year’s Day (Thursday, January 1)
- Collection resumes Monday, January 5
These temporary changes are important for Anniston residents to note, especially as households typically generate more waste and recycling during the holiday season.
Helpful Recycling Reminder: Extra Materials Welcome — If Properly Packed
Best Trash encourages Anniston neighbors to make the most of holiday recycling by placing overflow materials in clear bags or cardboard boxes clearly marked "Recycle." This small step goes a long way in helping crews quickly identify recyclables and keep operations running efficiently during this busy time.

Curbside Tips for Smooth Service
To ensure timely pickup, place bins at the curb by 7:00 AM on your scheduled collection day. Keep in mind:
-
Pickup may occur earlier than usual due to lighter volume on some days.
-
Delays are also possible due to increased holiday waste.
Either way, Best Trash’s team is committed to keeping Anniston clean and beautiful throughout the season.
