Halloween isn't just for kids in Katy. This Saturday, October 31, local dogs will have their chance to join the fun as the City of Katy hosts its Howl-O-Ween celebration at the Katy City Off-Leash Dog Park, complete with a pet costume contest, raffle and opportunities to support local animal shelters.

Beginning at 9 a.m., the Halloween-themed event will bring together Katy-area pet owners and their four-legged companions for a morning of creative costumes, friendly competition and community fun. Whether their pups are dressed as superheroes, spooky creatures or something entirely unexpected, families are invited to enjoy the festivities while helping animals in need.

Katy Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest: Three Ways to Win

One of the highlights of Katy's Howl-O-Ween event is the dog costume contest, giving pet owners a chance to show off their creativity. Participants can enter their pups in three categories: Spookiest Costume, Most Creative Costume and Best Group Costume.

The event also features a raffle and vendors, offering attendees more ways to enjoy the Halloween celebration alongside fellow dog lovers.

Beyond the costumes and festivities, Howl-O-Ween has a charitable purpose. Admission to the event and raffle entry are based on donations of pet food, pet supplies or cash to benefit local animal shelters. It's a chance for Katy residents to celebrate Halloween while making a difference for animals awaiting homes.
