New Braunfels Back 2 School Supply Drive Brings Free Family Fun and Classroom Support to Santikos
Families in New Braunfels can help local students begin the new school year prepared while enjoying an afternoon of free entertainment at the 2026 Back 2 School Supply Drive.
The New Braunfels Police Department is partnering with Santikos Entertainment to collect school supplies from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, August 3, at Santikos New Braunfels, located at 651 N. Business IH-35, Suite 1010.
The free community event combines a practical need with family-friendly activities. Visitors who donate school supplies can enjoy complimentary bowling, arcade games and popcorn while supplies last. New Braunfels police officers, including School Resource Officers, will also spend the afternoon bowling, playing games and visiting with children and their families.
Helping New Braunfels Students Start School Ready
For parents, teachers and students, the beginning of a new school year often comes with a long list of required classroom materials. The New Braunfels Back 2 School Supply Drive offers residents a simple way to help ease that burden for local families.
Donated notebooks, pencils, folders, backpacks and other school essentials will support students who may otherwise begin the school year without everything they need. By bringing law enforcement, local organizations and families together, the event is designed to make giving back feel accessible and personal.
The supply drive also gives children an opportunity to interact with New Braunfels police officers in a relaxed setting outside of school or an emergency. School Resource Officers will be available to meet families, answer questions and build connections before students return to their classrooms.
Free Bowling, Arcade Games and Popcorn
Admission to the August 3 event is free. Bowling, arcade games and popcorn will be available at no cost while supplies and space remain.
The first 15 families to donate school supplies will receive a free swag bag that includes a 30-minute Santikos game card. Families are encouraged to arrive early if they hope to receive one of the limited giveaway packages.
The mix of games, food and community service makes the event an easy summer outing for parents searching for free things to do with kids in New Braunfels. At the same time, every donation will help another family prepare for the 2026-2027 school year.

Communities In Schools and Maria’s Closet will also be on site during the Back 2 School Supply Drive to share information and connect families with local resources.
Their participation adds another layer of support for residents who may need assistance beyond school supplies. Families can learn about available programs, ask questions and find services intended to help children succeed at school and at home.
