Master Gardener Sale Features Hundreds of Fruit Trees at Fort Bend County Fairgrounds

January 22 2024

Fort Bend County Master Gardeners will hold their 24th annual Fruit Tree Sale from 9 a.m.-noon (or until sold out) on Saturday, February 10, in Barn H at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, located at 4310 Texas 36 in Rosenberg.

The sale will feature more than 1,200 trees representing 67 varieties of fruit and nut trees. Fort Bend Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions for shoppers.

Prices range from $25 for blackberry bushes to $30 for blueberry bushes and fig trees to $65 for limes, lemons and avocados. Lemon trees will include Improved Meyer, New Zealand Lemonade and Lisbon Seedless. Orange tree varieties are Navel N33, Republic of Texas, Valencia and Valencia Rhode Red. On the list of avocados are Brazos Belle, Joey, Lila and U-La-La. Shoppers will find these varieties of blueberries: Biloxi, Jewel, Misty and Rebel. Visit this webpage for information about trees.

All citrus trees available at the sale are certified to be disease free. Sales proceeds support the Fort Bend County Master Gardeners Inc., a non-profit whose purpose is to disseminate research-backed horticulture advice to residents of Fort Bend County, in support of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.

A limited number of wagons will be available to assist shoppers in transporting their plants, so shoppers are encouraged to bring their own hand-drawn wagon if they prefer not to wait for a wagon.  Come early for best selection!
