Magical Winter Lights Moves to Fort Bend County Fairgrounds for 10th Anniversary Celebration

October 17 2024

This year, Magical Winter Lights will enchant visitors at its new location: the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds in Rosenberg. Running from November 15, 2024, to January 5, 2025, the festival marks its 10th anniversary, moving from last year's venue at Katy Mills. This larger-than-life event will feature a vibrant array of multicultural holiday displays and interactive exhibits, appealing to families and holiday enthusiasts alike.

Magical Winter Lights includes various themed sections designed to transport guests into different worlds. Notable attractions include "The Kingdom," which showcases towering castles and whimsical creatures, and "The Village," a European-inspired space with festive decorations and a stunning Christmas tree. Another highlight is "Dinosaur Kingdom," where visitors can learn about dinosaur fossils and explore interactive exhibits. Additionally, the "Houston Section" celebrates the local area, featuring displays related to the city's diversity and a tribute to the Space Center.

Among the many features of Magical Winter Lights, "The Ice" section presents a winter wonderland filled with intricate ice-like sculptures, while "The Sea" offers an immersive underwater experience with vibrant sea life. The "Space" section invites attendees to navigate a maze filled with extraterrestrial wonders, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Each area is designed to provide guests with unique experiences that blend education, entertainment, and holiday cheer.

In addition to the lantern displays, the festival includes a carnival featuring rides and games suitable for all ages. Visitors can enjoy treats like funnel cakes and popcorn while taking in the sights from the top of an 87-foot Ferris wheel. Character entertainment is also a highlight, with appearances from beloved figures such as the Ice Sisters and a charming sea princess, adding to the festive atmosphere.
