Your Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library will be buzzing with activity during the month of April! Bee a part of the fun - there's something for everyone.
 

Children’s Programs

Baby Bookworms
Mondays, April 4, 11, 18, 25 @ 9:30 am
Join other babies and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Baby Bookworms uses age-appropriate stories, songs and finger plays, and playtime to engage babies and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards newborns through 18 months. Tickets are required and will be handed out at the Children's Desk starting 30 minutes prior. Participating children must have a ticket to attend Baby Bookworms. For more information, call the library at 832-559-4235.
 
Toddler Time
Wednesdays, April 6, 13, 20, 27 @ 9:30 am
Join other toddlers and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Toddler Time uses age-appropriate stories, songs and finger plays to engage toddlers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards toddlers ages 18 months through 3 years. Tickets are required and will be handed out at the Children's Desk starting 30 minutes prior. Early Literacy Fun
Thursday, April 7 @ 1:30 pm
Join us for Early Literacy Fun! This workshop will introduce your child to the foundational skills and practices for early literacy learning. Each week will focus on one skill and practice with hands on activities that you and your child can work on together. This program is limited to 15 kids ages 3-5 and their parent/caregiver. A Thousand Words: Stargazing
Tuesday, April 18 @ 5:00 pm
A Thousand Words is an interactive book club for kids ages 8-12. Join us every third Tuesday to discuss that month's graphic novel and do a related activity. In April, come ready to discuss the graphic novel "Stargazing" by Jen Wang! This book club is for kids ages 8-12 and registration is required. R.E.A.D.
Tuesday, April 26 @ 5:00 pm
The Reading Education Assistance Dogs will be here! Pick a book and share it one on one with a furry friend from Pets with a Mission! Friendship Club
Thursday, April 28 @ 5:00 pm
Friendship Club is a place for kids to work on social skills in a fun, group setting! Designed for kids aged 8-12, our small group will focus on interpersonal skills, such as communication, listening, working with others, problem-solving, and manners. Teen Anime Club
1st Tuesday, April 5th @ 4:30 pm
Love Anime, Manga, and all things Japanese? Come join our Young Adult Anime Club in the Tomball Library Teen Room on the first Tuesday of every month. Tomball Art League Art Show and Sale 
Friday, April 8 @ 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday, April 9 @ 1:00pm -3:30 pm 
Join us at the LSC Tomball Library for an Art Show and Sale hosted by the Tomball Art League in partnership with the library. Admission is free to the public, and open viewing for all ages is scheduled for 10am - 6pm on Friday, April 8, with judging occurring on Saturday, April 9. Judging and critique by renowned artist Laurie Humble. A portion of the sale proceeds will go to the Friends of the Tomball Library to support library programming. AARP Tax Aide

Are you over 50 and need help filing your taxes? AARP will be coming to LSC- Tomball Community Library to help you file them for free!  This service is by appointment only. Please call 832-559-4200 to set up your appointment. Last day that AARP will be at the library is April 18.
