Lamar Consolidated ISD Announces Enhanced Safety Measures at Traylor Stadium for the 2024-2025 School Year
As the Lamar Consolidated ISD community gathers to cheer on their local sports teams at events held in Traylor Stadium, new measures are being implemented to enhance public safety throughout the 2024-2025 school year. The district has announced a new policy requiring attendees to pass through metal detector screenings at all entry points to the venue.
The move is part of a wider effort to enhance safety and security at Traylor Stadium for both student-athletes and spectators alike. Gates to the stadium will now open an hour before games commence, allowing plenty of time for these new screening procedures.
Moreover, Traylor Stadium has adopted the Clear Bag policy, forbidding bags that aren't see-through from entry to ensure security. In addition to this policy, the district has outlined several rules for attendees, including the prohibition of re-entry once an individual has exited the stadium, the banning of outside food or beverages, with the sole exception of one unopened bottle of water per person, and declaring the entire facility a tobacco-free zone.

Further regulations include the barring of noisemakers, confetti, balloons, silly string, and baby powder. Also, spectators must not cross from one side of the stadium to the other during games and they can't access the field or track at any time.
The concession stands and ticket booths at Traylor Stadium will continue to accommodate bills no larger than $20, though as an added convenience, credit card payments will now be accepted at the concession stands.
Traylor Stadium, a multipurpose facility located at 1000 E Stadium Dr, Rosenberg, TX 77471, serves as the backdrop for football, soccer, and track events. It is a hub of activity not only for LCISD's athletic teams but also for several community groups hosting their events there.
