For families and students across Klein ISD, moments like this don’t just celebrate individual achievement—they reflect the strength, commitment, and pride of an entire school community. This spring, Klein Cain High School is celebrating a milestone that places its cheer program firmly on the statewide map.

For the first time in school history, two Klein Cain cheerleaders have been named All-State cheerleaders by the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA)—a distinction that recognizes not only athletic excellence, but leadership, character, and academic achievement.

Senior Bailey Barlow and sophomore Ella Pipkin are among just 50 cheerleaders selected from 6A schools across Texas, making their recognition especially meaningful for Klein Cain High School, Klein ISD, and the broader Klein community.

A Historic First for Klein Cain High School Cheer

The Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-State Cheer Team is widely considered one of the highest honors a cheerleader can receive in Texas. Selection is based on a comprehensive evaluation of performance, leadership, character, and overall impact—both on and off the mat.

For Klein Cain, having two athletes earn this recognition in the same year marks a defining moment for a program that continues to grow and evolve.

Klein Cain Head Cheer Coach Stephanie Psencik emphasized the broader significance of the achievement, stating, “This honor reflects not only their exceptional talent, but their leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence in every area of their lives. Both athletes are deeply committed to academics and service, balancing rigorous coursework, honor societies, and volunteer work while helping build our UIL competitive team from the ground up. Their recognition marks a historic milestone for Klein Cain Cheer, and we could not be more proud of the example they set for our team and our school.”

Leadership, Academics, and Dedication On and Off the Field

Bailey Barlow: Leading by Example

As a four-year member of the Klein Cain Cheer program and current Varsity captain, Bailey Barlow has played a key role in shaping the team’s culture and competitive success.

A dual-sport athlete participating in both softball and cheer, Bailey has consistently demonstrated discipline and drive. Her recognitions include Best Overall Freshman Cheerleader, Best Overall JV Cheerleader, and Academic All-District honors, along with consistent placement on the Honor Roll.

Reflecting on the honor, Bailey shared, “Being an all-state cheerleader is such an honor, and I am incredibly excited! It is so awesome to be able to bring this award back to Klein Cain.”

She added, “Being able to compete in the UIL state competition the past two years has brought a whole new meaning to Klein Cain Cheer. Our team has so much talent, and bringing it to the next level was such a great experience. I am so grateful to have received this award and to have led my team this year!”

Ella Pipkin: A Rising Leader with Community Impact

Sophomore Ella Pipkin’s recognition highlights not only her talent, but her early leadership within the Klein Cain Cheer program.

She has served as Freshman captain and Junior Varsity co-captain and is a two-time UCA All-American cheerleader. Academically, Ella ranks third in her class and serves as Sophomore Class Vice President.

Beyond school, she is actively involved in service, holding a leadership role with the National Charity League and completing approximately 50 hours of volunteer work.

Speaking about the meaning behind the award, Ella said, “When I think about what it takes to get this award, it goes past just how well I perform.”

She continued, “The award is also about being a leader and having good character. It is about being high-achieving academically and dedicated to my team. That makes this award feel especially significant to me because it represents the full picture of who I try to be as a student, athlete, and person.”

Ella added, “I'm so proud and honored to, alongside Bailey, be among the first people in Cain Cheer to receive this recognition, which makes it exciting and memorable.”

Why This Matters for Klein ISD and the Community

Achievements like this resonate far beyond the sidelines. For Klein ISD families, students, and future athletes, this milestone signals what’s possible through commitment, mentorship, and community support.

It also reflects the continued growth of Klein Cain High School’s UIL competitive cheer program—one that is building a reputation not just for performance, but for developing well-rounded student leaders.

For parents, educators, and residents, this recognition reinforces the value of programs that prioritize both academics and extracurricular excellence—helping shape students who succeed in multiple areas of life.

What Comes Next for Klein Cain Cheer

With this historic achievement, Klein Cain Cheer is poised to continue its upward trajectory. The recognition of Bailey Barlow and Ella Pipkin sets a new standard for future athletes and strengthens the program’s identity within Klein ISD and across Texas high school athletics.

As the program continues to grow, moments like this serve as both a celebration and a foundation—one that future cheerleaders will build upon for years to come.

For now, the Klein Cain community is taking a moment to recognize what this represents: hard work, leadership, and a shared sense of pride.
