Ready Fort Bend Expo 2026

Families across Rosenberg and Fort Bend County will have the opportunity to take proactive steps toward safety and preparedness at the Ready Fort Bend Expo 2026, a free, family-friendly event focused on real-world emergency readiness.

Hosted by Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management, the annual expo returns on Saturday, May 9, 2026, bringing together public safety professionals, local agencies, and community organizations to equip residents with practical knowledge and hands-on experience.

What Attendees Can Expect

Designed to make emergency preparedness accessible and engaging, the expo blends education with interactive experiences for all ages. Attendees will have the chance to connect directly with first responders and learn essential life-saving skills.

Visitors can explore:

• More than 60 community partners and public safety organizations
• A Touch-a-Truck emergency vehicle display featuring response equipment
• Live demonstrations, including CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training

Hands-on safety training such as:

• Fire extinguisher use
• “Stop the Bleed” bleeding control techniques
• Water and gas shutoff procedures for homes
• Interactive preparedness booths and real-world safety scenarios

Family-friendly elements will also be featured throughout the event, including kids’ activities, food trucks, giveaways, and the debut of a Ranger mascot.

To support accessibility, a Sensory Friendly Hour from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. will provide a quieter, more comfortable environment for attendees who may benefit from reduced stimulation.
