Katy ISD Board of Trustees to Hold Regular Meeting on August 26
The Katy ISD Board of Trustees will hold a Regular Board Meeting on Monday, August 26, 2024. The meeting will take place in the Board Room of the Katy ISD Education Support Complex, located at 6301 South Stadium Lane, Katy, Texas 77494. The Open Meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m.
For those unable to attend in person, a free livestream service will be provided, allowing the public to view the meeting online at Katy ISD Board Meeting Livestream. The complete agenda documents will be accessible on the day of the meeting via BoardDocs.com.
During Katy ISD Board of Trustees meetings, the public has an opportunity to speak, but intentions must be filed in advance. To participate in the Public Comment/Citizen Participation segment of this meeting, individuals must sign up by sending an email to publicrecords@katyisd.org by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024. Attendees who successfully sign up and arrive 15 minutes before the meeting will have the opportunity to address the Board.

The Board meeting's agenda includes numerous important topics, such as approving designs for a new band and orchestra building for Katy High School, as well as renovations at Cimarron Elementary and Nottingham Country Elementary. Other significant discussions will include the approval of the financial reports for June 2024, the final amended budget for 2023-2024, and the official budget for 2024-2025. Additionally, the Board will address the approval of funding for state compensatory education, voluntary benefit products for Plan Year 2025, and various resolutions related to property tax collection and election-related rental fees.
To successfully engage in the Public Comment/Citizen Participation part of the meeting, remember to sign up via email and arrive early. The next Regular Board Meeting is scheduled for September 23, 2024, and a Board Work Study Meeting is planned for September 16, 2024.
