Junior League of The Woodlands Opens Applications for Spring 2026 New Member Class

October 28 2025

Junior League of The Woodlands has officially opened applications for its Spring 2026 New Members Cohort, offering local women a meaningful opportunity to lead, serve, and grow in their communities.

With more than 700 active, new, and sustaining members, Junior League of The Woodlands (JLTW) is a driving force for positive change across North Harris and Montgomery Counties. Each year, its members donate more than 31,000 volunteer hours—valued at over $1.2 million—to more than 60 nonprofit organizations in the area. But their impact goes far beyond numbers.

“Above all else, we aim to promote and perpetuate social change in our community,” the League shared. “By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we’re giving local women the tools to make a difference—from Tomball to Conroe, Spring to Cypress, and every place in between.”

Those who apply for the Spring 2026 New Members Cohort will be welcomed into a supportive, mission-driven environment rooted in six core values: collaboration, community, empowerment, leadership, respect, and service. From hands-on community work to mentorship and leadership development, new members will gain skills that benefit both personal and professional life.

Founded in 1990, JLTW is one of nearly 300 chapters worldwide under the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), a nonprofit network of over 113,000 women committed to building better communities through action, advocacy, and service. The AJLI’s roots date back to 1901, when social reformer Mary Harriman first brought together like-minded women to tackle social issues through volunteerism. Today, that same mission continues to flourish in The Woodlands and its surrounding areas.

JLTW’s investment in community impact is deeply tied to its commitment to developing civic leaders. The League hosts a variety of conferences, seminars, and workshops throughout the year, including its Distinguished Speakers’ Series and professional development programs in partnership with local nonprofits. Mentorship programs and social events also foster lifelong connections between women who share a passion for service.

Signature initiatives like the IMPACT Conference—which returns in 2026 with keynote speaker Gerry Brooks—celebrate and support educators with free CEU-eligible training, inspiration, and community recognition. Meanwhile, the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) provides an immersive experience to better understand the complexities of poverty and generate solutions that drive systemic change.

Through every initiative and event, Junior League of The Woodlands empowers its members to be effective agents of change. Over the last 30 years, the League has contributed more than $4 million in community investments, leaving an indelible mark on the region.

The Spring 2026 cohort offers a chance for new voices to join that legacy. Applications are now being accepted online, with orientations and socials coming soon for prospective members to learn more.
