Join the Willowfork Fire Department for a Special 'Greetings with the Grinch' Event

November 19 2024

This holiday season, your local fire department, the Willowfork Fire Department, is inviting the community to spread some holiday cheer while supporting a great cause at the "Greetings with the Grinch" event! It's a fun, informal gathering where kids can meet the Grinch, take photos, explore fire trucks, meet local firefighters, and enjoy some tasty treats.

But there’s a special twist—this event is all about giving back to the children at Texas Children's Hospital. The Willowfork Fire Department is collecting new, unwrapped toys for the hospital’s patients to spread holiday cheer, and they need your help!

Here’s how it works: For every new, unwrapped toy donated, your child will receive an entry ticket and be registered for the meet-and-greet with the Grinch. This will be a come and go event, so feel free to drop in and enjoy the festivities at your own pace.

  • You can drop off your toy donation at the Willowfork Fire Department’s Administration Building at 2700 Spring Green Boulevard (preferred), or any of the three local fire stations.
  • Be sure to register by November 25 to secure a spot for your child. But don’t worry—if you drop off your toy after that date, you can still participate!
  • The first 50 children who donate a toy by this date will receive an entry ticket to the Grinch meet-and-greet.

The event will take place on Saturday, December 14, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Station #2, 26950 Cinco Ranch Boulevard. It’s a wonderful way to help brighten a child’s holiday season while enjoying some fun activities with the whole family.

Let’s work together to fill Chief Santa’s bag with toys for the children at Texas Children’s Hospital—join your neighbors and local heroes for a festive and meaningful holiday experience that your family will cherish!

For more details, or to donate toys in advance, visit the Willowfork Fire Department at their administration building or any of their three fire stations.
