ILTexas Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Campus in Richmond
On December 4, 2023, International Leadership of Texas (ILTexas) hosted a Groundbreaking Ceremony for its upcoming campus, ILTexas Richmond K-8, located in the Houston area. Anticipated to welcome 1,416 students in August for the 2024-2025 school year, this campus is one of two new additions to ILTexas in Houston.
ILTexas, a free public charter school, currently serves over 23,000 K-12 students across 22 campuses in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Cleveland, and College Station areas. Founded by Mr. Eddie Conger and approved by the Texas Education Agency in November 2012, ILTexas is distinguished by its global perspective on education. The curriculum ensures students learn English, Spanish, and Chinese languages, preparing them for leadership roles in Texas, the U.S., and internationally.
Central to ILTexas education is its exclusive leadership program, emphasizing servant leadership and the motto "Others Before Self." Each grade level undertakes a student-led service-learning project annually, showcasing students' responsibility in the entire process—from idea generation and research to planning, organizing, and executing community service projects.

ILTexas is poised to expand its presence in the Houston area, aiming for eight campuses by the 2024-2025 school year and a total of 25 campuses charter-wide by 2025. Currently, ILTexas has two campuses in the Katy area — ILTexas Katy K-8 located at 24406 Franz Road in Katy and ILTexas Katy-Westpark High School at 20055 Beechnut in Richmond. The application process is currently open for ILTexas Richmond K-8.
