Howl-O-Ween Returns to Katy Dog Park
Who loves a pup in a costume? Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 28 from 10:00 AM to12:00 PM for Howl-O-Ween, a beloved annual event that benefits local animal shelters in Katy.
Dress up your furry friend in their boo-tiful costume and head over to the Katy Dog Park to enjoy vendors, raffles, and a costume contest. Opened in March 2007, this off-leash park for canines of all sizes and is open everyday from dawn to dusk and is one of the city’s most popular attractions. The 14 acre park offer lots of grass and trees with a third of a mile length walking path, a wading pool for dogs, custom dog showers, an agility course and fountains accessible for both the four legged friend and their owners.
To participate in Howl-O-Ween, bring a donation of pet food or a cash donation for Katy area shelters. There will be three categories to compete in this year, including best group costume, funniest costume and most creative costume. Best group costume will need to be comprised of a dog or multiple dogs and their owner, or multiple dogs together.
The costume contests will start at 11:00 AM to give all participants an opportunity to arrive, check out vendors and take cute photos with their furry friends before the judging begins.
