Houston Restaurant Weeks 2025: Cypress & Cy-Fair Favorites Join Citywide Dining Event to Fight Hunger

July 21 2025

One of Greater Houston’s most beloved culinary traditions is back—and once again, several standout Cypress and Cy-Fair restaurants are joining the cause.

Houston Restaurant Weeks 2025 returns August 1 through Labor Day, September 1, offering locals 32 days of indulgent dining, with a philanthropic twist. This year’s campaign supports the Houston Food Bank during a time of increased demand and decreased funding, while also spotlighting hundreds of restaurants across the region, from the Inner Loop to the suburbs of Cypress, Katy, Sugar Land, and beyond.

Now in its 22nd year, the annual event was founded in 2003 by the late food media personality Cleverley Stone, who launched the initiative to help the restaurant industry during August—their slowest month of the year. Since then, the fundraiser has generated more than $22 million, equating to over 66 million meals for food-insecure Houstonians. Stone’s daughter, Katie Stone, now serves as President of The Cleverley Stone Foundation, which organizes the event each year.

“The purpose of Houston Restaurant Weeks since its inception has been to support the restaurant community,” said Katie Stone. “Over 22 years it has become a juggernaut of a fundraiser and a great opportunity for Houstonians to explore our vibrant food scene.”

More Than a Meal: Supporting Families and the Local Economy

The event benefits more than just food-insecure families—it also supports restaurants still recovering from economic headwinds, including rising food costs. To help operators balance participation with profitability, the foundation has adjusted donation tiers this year—an approach also used during the COVID-era HRW campaigns.

“Houston Restaurant Weeks traffic kept many restaurants afloat after shutdowns,” the foundation shared. “And now, the adjusted donation structure helps keep the event inclusive while still driving significant support for hunger relief”

Beyond Houston and Cypress, the 2025 campaign will include restaurants from The Woodlands, Midtown, Downtown, the Galleria, Sugar Land, East End, and Galveston. With an anticipated 400 restaurants participating, diners can explore a diverse range of cuisines while making a meaningful impact.

How to Join In

To participate, simply dine out at a restaurant offering an HRW menu. No special tickets or codes are needed. Reservations are encouraged, especially at popular destinations like Dario’s and Marvino’s. And for those in Cypress and Cy-Fair, it’s a chance to savor great food close to home—while supporting families across Southeast Texas.
