HCESD 48 Holiday Toy Drive Invites Cimarron Residents to Help Bring Christmas Joy to Local Children
The holiday season is a time for giving, and for families in Cimarron, an opportunity to brighten a child's Christmas may be as simple as picking up an extra toy during the next shopping trip.
Harris County Emergency Services District No. 48 (HCESD 48), which provides fire and emergency medical services to the community, is inviting residents to participate in its 2026 Holiday Toy Drive by donating new, unwrapped toys at four participating fire stations throughout the Katy area.
The department's holiday campaign, themed "All aboard the giving train," encourages neighbors, families, friends and coworkers to come together to help make Christmas a little brighter for children in need. Whether it's a favorite board game, a stuffed animal or a toy that sparks a child's imagination, each donation offers a chance to make someone's holiday more special.
Where to Donate Toys for the HCESD 48 Holiday Toy Drive in Katy
Residents of and surrounding Katy neighborhoods can drop off new, unwrapped toys at any of the following HCESD 48 fire stations:
-
Station 1: 24127 Western Centre Drive, Katy, TX 77494 (MAP)
-
Station 3: 1773 Westgreen Boulevard, Katy, TX 77450 (MAP)
-
Station 4: 22855 Franz Road, Katy, TX 77449 (MAP)
-
Station 5: 21201 Morton Road, Katy, TX 77449 (MAP)
All donated toys should be new and unwrapped. Leaving toys unwrapped helps the organizations coordinating distribution identify appropriate gifts for children of different ages.
The four donation locations make it convenient for Katy-area residents to participate, whether they're dropping off a single gift or collecting several toys with family, neighbors or coworkers.
When Is the Deadline to Donate Toys?
HCESD 48 is accepting toy donations now, but the department has not yet announced a final collection deadline.
According to HCESD 48, the department is still working with its partner organizations to determine when donations will close. The deadline will be shared once those arrangements are finalized.
Residents planning to participate are encouraged to donate early rather than wait until the final days of the collection period.
A Simple Way for Katy Families to Give Back This Christmas
For parents in Cimarron, the HCESD 48 toy drive can also be an opportunity to involve children in the spirit of giving.
Families might consider letting their children help select a toy for another child, while neighborhood groups, local businesses and coworkers could organize small collections to contribute together.
The effort also offers a different way for residents to connect with the firefighters and emergency medical personnel who serve their neighborhoods throughout the year. While HCESD 48 is best known for responding to emergencies, initiatives like this give the department and the community another opportunity to work together, this time to help children enjoy the holidays.
For anyone already making a Christmas shopping list, adding one more gift could be a simple way to take part.
Residents can follow Harris County ESD No. 48 for updates on the toy drive, including the final donation deadline once it is announced.
