Residents of Governors Place in Katy will have an opportunity to hear updates on several neighborhood improvement projects and community operations during the upcoming Governors Place Community Association Board of Directors Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the Governors Place Clubhouse.
The meeting agenda reflects continued attention on maintaining neighborhood amenities and infrastructure that directly impact daily life for homeowners, families and property values throughout the community. Topics include pool equipment repairs, irrigation maintenance, financial management and ongoing neighborhood upkeep efforts.
The open session begins at 6:30 p.m. at the clubhouse located at 335 Governors Place Drive in Katy. Residents will also have an opportunity to participate during the homeowner open forum portion of the meeting.
Pool and Irrigation Repairs Among Key Topics
Several maintenance-related projects are expected to be discussed as the board reviews recent decisions made between meetings.
According to the agenda, the association approved irrigation repairs and replacement of a battery controller through Shooter & Lindsey for $702.38.
Board members are also expected to review updates involving the neighborhood pool system, including the replacement of a pool pump with a new Pentair 5-horsepower unit for $4,500 through American Pools. Additional bids related to pool filter tank and pump repairs will also be discussed.
For many residents, these types of maintenance projects play an important role in preserving shared community amenities, especially as warmer weather increases neighborhood use of recreational facilities and landscaping systems.
Seasonal flower bids and irrigation reports are also included on the agenda as the community prepares for summer upkeep and curb appeal improvements.
Financial and Community Operations Updates Planned
The board will also review cash management and money market account updates as part of the meeting’s financial report section.
Additional agenda items include discussions related to deed restriction enforcement actions, collection actions and foreclosure matters, which are commonly addressed during HOA operations to help maintain community standards and association responsibilities.
An update to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) guidelines remains tabled while the board continues working with the ACC Committee.
The meeting will later adjourn into executive session, where the board is expected to review management reports related to collections, attorney status updates and deed restriction matters before returning to open session for a summary.
