Gently Used Uniforms in High Demand in Katy

Last month, parents in your community engaged in the annual suburban version of a calf scramble: searching for and purchasing back-to-school essentials like school supplies, clothes, shoes and uniforms. After parents sorted through and haggled with their kids to try on last year's clothes and shoes to see what did and didn't fit anymore, many items ended up in the "donation" pile. Now that school is in full swing and the dust has settled from the preparatory chaos, the question now is "where on earth should I take this bag of gently used clothes my kids outgrew that's been sitting in the back of my car for three weeks now?"

Clothed by Faith. This organization is based right here in Katy, and they are focused on providing clothes to those in need. But this organization goes the extra mile to instill a sense of dignity and empowerment by taking great care to match style and color preferences of each client, repackaging shoes to look like new, and presenting items in nice gift bags with notes of encouragement. About Clothed by Faith
Clothed By Faith began 2013 in the garage of our founder, Abi Fourie, with a simple idea - to tap into the generosity and abundance of our community to provide help to those without access to the same resources. Our objective is simple - to give one week's worth of clothing, free of charge, to anyone in need. Our Staff and Volunteer team customize a week’s worth of gently used clothing, shoes, new underwear, and new socks for each child or adult. The clothing and shoes are carefully sorted, selected, and packaged in a gift bag specifically for each client in a manner that offers them confidence, hope, and dignity.
Requests for clothing come from individuals, other non-profits, agencies, and schools. Through our Agency Partnership Program, we partner with 90 agencies, organizations, and non-profits. Through our School Partnership Program, we partner with 15 school districts across the Greater Houston Area as a resource to provide clothing for students and their families. Since 2013 we have served over 89,000 children and adults across the Greater Houston area.
