Fulshear Police Foundation Gumbo Cook-Off Returns to Cross Creek Ranch

September 24 2024

Cross Creek Ranch will transform into a simmering battlefield on Saturday, November 9, 2024 when the annual Fulshear Police Foundation Gumbo Cook-Off returns. An exciting event that promises family fun, live music, and of course, mouthwatering gumbo, it's the perfect blend of community and culinary competition.

Gumbo chefs are sharpening their culinary skills and perfecting their secret recipes to serve a variety of gumbos that will tantalize the taste buds of attendees and earn their vote in the cook-off. From 1:00 to 5:00 PM, the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, located at 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane, will be the hotspot for gumbo gourmands. Free to enter, the event is bursting with additional activities such as live Zydeco music, live and silent auctions, food vendors, interactive games, and more.

But the event is not just about feasting. It shines a spotlight on the vital work of the Fulshear Police Foundation within the Fulshear community. Accelerating in growth parallel to the rapidly increasing population of Fulshear, the Fulshear Police Foundation was established to foster community involvement. The Foundation works to provide needed equipment, training, and technology to uphold the standards of excellence, professionalism, and safety of the Fulshear Police Department.
