Fulshear Police Captain Honored by Exchange Club of Fort Bend County
Captain Lindsay Miller with Fulshear Police was honored today with a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding service by the Exchange Club of Fort Bend County.
Captain Miller places tremendous value on public safety and community engagement and is committed to keeping Fulshear one of the safest cities in the country. In August 2018, Captain Miller implemented a personal empowerment safety education program in Fulshear called radKIDS. This program is taught country wide and has become the National Leader in Children's Safety Education. The program's mission is to empower children and parents with a revolutionary skill-based curriculum that strengthens a child's personal boundaries and parental confidence. The curriculum aims to replace fear with knowledge, skill, and power, by enhancing a child's critical thinking abilities and physical resistance skills.
The program provides an opportunity for children to recognize, avoid, resist, and if necessary, escape violence or harm while remaining joyful and safer in our world today. radKIDS has helped save thousands of children's lives to date and continues to strive toward achieving this effort one child at a time.
The National Exchange Club was established on March 27, 1911, in Detroit, MI. Since that time, Exchange has grown to become “America's Oldest Service” organization with more than 630 local-level clubs comprised of more than 18,000 members across the United States and in Puerto Rico.
