Fort Bend County Set to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage with Annual Festival

October 23 2024

In celebration of its vibrant Hispanic community, Fort Bend County has announced plans to host the annual Hispanic Heritage Festival at the Historic Courthouse on Saturday, October 26, 2024. This free, family-oriented event promises a full-day of festivities ranging from traditional dance performances, live mariachi music, to a petting zoo and a bounce house.

Taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 401 Jackson St., Richmond, TX 77469, the festival aims to celebrate and showcase the rich culture and numerous contributions of the Hispanic community in Fort Bend County. In addition to the lively cultural performances, attendees can look forward to an array of food trucks and various vendors offering a selection of goods and services.

The festival will also serve as a platform to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the Hispanic community in Fort Bend County. Cesar Espinosa, the Executive Director of FIEL, an immigrant-led civil rights organization, will be recognized for his advocacy efforts. Furthermore, Hispanic employees of Fort Bend County will also be honored for their dedicated services to the county.

Fort Bend County officials invite everyone to attend, stating, "Our Hispanic Heritage Festival is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the vibrant culture, history, and contributions of our Hispanic community. Come out, enjoy the festivities, and join us in honoring those who make Fort Bend County a great place to live."
