Fort Bend County Pets Over Capacity, Seeking Furever Families for Long Term Residents

November 07 2023

Fort Bend County Animal Services (FBCAS) in Rosenberg is currently over capacity and is in dire need of forever families for a number of dogs in their care.

According to FBCAS, their facility can comfortably house approximately 90 dogs but for over a year, they have been housing and caring for over 200 dogs. Many dogs are living in pop up crates in the hallways and office spaces at FBCAS. While they will continue to do everything possible to help all the animals they can, FBCAS urgently needs help from the community to free up kennel space so that they can help more dogs in need.

FBCAS has created a PUSH (Pets Urgently Seeking Homes) list made up of some of FBCAS' longest residents. All ten of these dogs have been looking for homes for over a year. The dogs on this PUSH list need to be adopted or rescued by November 16, 2023.
