Description

Discover the time-honored art of food preservation at the Preserving the Harvest Workshop – Fermentation & Pressure Canning, happening August 9 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Steve Radack Community Center. Hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, a statewide educational agency known for providing expert-led programs in agriculture, food safety, and healthy living.

This in-person workshop offers:
  • An overview of food preservation fundamentals
  • Instruction on fermentation techniques and pressure canning methods
  • A strong emphasis on canning safety and food handling best practices
  • The opportunity to take home two canned products prepared during the session
