Be Part of Katy Tradition: Parade Registration Now Open for the 2025 Katy Rice Harvest Festival

August 05 2025

The Katy Rice Harvest Festival Parade is back—and organizers want this year to be bigger, brighter, and more creative than ever before.

Set for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM, the parade will once again march through the heart of Katy, kicking off a week of community celebration leading into the Katy Rice Harvest Festival weekend on October 11–12.

A Call for Floats, Spirit, and Community Pride

From marching bands and school spirit groups to local businesses and families who just love being part of Katy’s traditions, everyone is invited to take part. The City of Katy and the Rotary Club of Katy, who host the event each year, are encouraging parade participants to go all out with decorations, music, and creative designs.

“Spectators love seeing color, energy, and creativity, so we’re encouraging participants to decorate floats and vehicles with fun Katy or rice-inspired themes,” organizers shared. “This year, let’s bring even more life and excitement to the parade route.”

Prizes will be awarded before the parade steps off, with trophies for Best Use of Rice, Best in Show, and Most Creative. The entry deadline is September 21, and space is limited to 40 entries—so early registration is encouraged. Parade entry fees are just $25, with schools and nonprofits participating for free.

Giving Back to Katy

Beyond the fun and festivities, the Katy Rice Harvest Festival supports a greater purpose. All net proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Katy, funding scholarships, local nonprofits, and charities throughout the community.

“This is more than a festival—it’s a celebration of Katy’s history, spirit, and people,” organizers said. “It’s a tradition that brings us together and gives right back to the place we all love to call home.”

Registration is open now, so gather your group, start planning your float, or grab your volunteer spot and be part of this cherished Katy tradition. Visit the Katy Rice Harvest Festival 2025 Parade signup website here to register your group today.
