Carnival Returns to Katy Rice Harvest Festival 2025, Volunteers Needed to Make Magic Happen

June 06 2025

Excitement is building in Katy as the Katy Rice Harvest Festival 2025 gears up to welcome families and friends to the newly redesigned Historic Town Square on October 11–12, 2025. This year’s biggest headline? The return of the beloved carnival, complete with all-day ride and game passes that promise fun for all ages.

Residents can now purchase Single Day Passes for $30 or opt for the Weekend Pass at $50—a value-packed option for those planning to soak up every moment of the festivities. Festivalgoers should note that carnival wristbands are valid only with a separate $10 general admission ticket (children 12 and under get in free).

A Festival Steeped in Tradition and Purpose

The Katy Rice Harvest Festival is more than a weekend event—it’s a celebration of Katy’s rich cultural roots and an opportunity to give back. Hosted in front of Katy City Hall at 904 Avenue C, the festival benefits the Rotary Club of Katy, which reinvests 100% of net proceeds back into the community through scholarships, nonprofit grants, and local charity support.

In 2024 alone, festival efforts helped raise over $125,000 for student scholarships and community grants.

“This is more than just a festival—it’s a chance to give back to our community, support students, make memories, and have an absolute BLAST doing it,” said Kaci Maris, Tourism and Marketing Events Coordinator for the City of Katy.

Two Days of Family Fun and Community Connection

The weekend lineup is designed to appeal to all ages and interests. Attendees can look forward to:

  • 100+ artisan and vendor booths
  • A mouth-watering array of local food trucks
  • A bustling beer garden
  • A dynamic main stage with live music and dancing
  • Interactive zones including an Agriculture Adventure Area, Toddler Zone, and exhibit spaces

The redesigned festival experience offers more than entertainment—it's a chance to reconnect with favorite shops, explore new vendors, and feel the spirit of the Katy community in full swing.

Volunteer to Make a Difference

With big plans come big needs—and the festival team is putting out the call for volunteers to help make this cherished tradition run smoothly.

Whether you have a few hours or the full weekend to spare, there are multiple volunteer shifts available on both days. From helping with vendor coordination to managing festival zones, there’s a spot for every skillset and age.

“We need YOU back for 2025,” Maris emphasized. “And YES—we’ll find the perfect spot for you to shine.”

Volunteers are instrumental to the event’s success, and this is a fantastic opportunity to rally your corporate teams, civic organizations, special interest groups, and neighbors for a shared cause. Whether you're looking to build camaraderie, earn service hours, or simply give back, volunteering at the Katy Rice Harvest Festival is a meaningful way to make lasting memories while supporting the community. Those interested can sign up today at the volunteer registration page.
