September 28 2023

On September 29, the 87th Annual Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo returns to the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds for an exciting, action-packed week of livestock shows, live musical entertainment, rodeo events, a carnival and much more.

The 2023 Fort Bend County Fair Parade will officially kick off the 87th Annual Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo on Friday, September 29th at 9:00 AM. Nearly 200 entries will wind their way from the Historic Court House in Richmond and proceed west down Hwy. 90-A to Jennetta Street in Rosenberg. The theme for this year is "Proud Traditions, Inspiring Our Future." The Needville Little League, who placed second in the United States and fourth in the world in the 2023 Little League World Series, will serve as Grand Marshal for the Parade.

Throughout the week, attractions like the Ag'Tivity Barn, a full-production carnival, and Grapes on the Brazos will be available each day of the Fair, plus competitive events on select days for children and youth like the Diaper Derby, the Stick Horse Rodeo and Children's Tractor Pull, to name a few. Creative competitions like the School Art Auction gives youth an opportunity to share their creative talents and win scholarships. Live entertainment will fill the Fair grounds throughout the week with headliners Josh Ward, Josh Abbott Band, La Energy Nortena, Braxton Keith, Southall, Tracy Byrd and Asleep at the Wheel, plus many other performers on Music Row.

Livestock shows will take place each day of the Fair, including ag mechanics, heifer show, livestock auction and freezer sale. Rodeo events like the Business Ribbon Roping, County Resident Barrel Race, Exceptional Rodeo, Mutton Bustin', Ranch Rodeo and many other events will be held throughout the week, along with special events like Cowboy Church and the Armed Forces Appreciation Day.
