FINAL REMINDER: New Braunfels National Night Out Offers Family Fun Near Morningside Trails
The New Braunfels Police Department is bringing residents and first responders together for National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. A free citywide celebration will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the New Braunfels City Hall parking lot at 550 Landa St., giving families from Morningside Trails a central place to join the festivities.
The City Hall event will feature police and fire vehicles, face painting, games, activities, giveaways and community resources. Vendors and nonprofit organizations will participate, and Sofia’s Pizza and Starbucks are also listed among the event attractions. The celebration is being coordinated by the New Braunfels Police Department with participation from police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel and city representatives.
National Night Out is an annual campaign promoting stronger police-community partnerships and closer relationships among neighbors. New Braunfels residents may attend the main gathering or organize a block party in their own neighborhood. Registered neighborhood celebrations can receive visits from police, fire, EMS and City Council members, depending on availability. Registration closes at noon Oct. 5.
Whether attending the City Hall celebration or gathering closer to home, residents of Morningside Trails will have several ways to take part. Neighborhood hosts are encouraged to plan potlucks, games or themed activities and invite nearby families to join them.
Questions may be directed to NBPDCommunityengagement@newbraunfels.gov, and families from Morningside Trails can find registration information on the city’s official event page.
