Final Pass of Storm Debris Collection in Fort Bend County: Important Deadline and Guidelines

Final Pass of Storm Debris Collection in Fort Bend County: Important Deadline and Guidelines

August 27 2024

This update was posted by Fort Bend County Homeland Security and Emergency Management on August 27, 2024.

Fort Bend County and contractor crews are working to complete a final pass of storm debris collection following Hurricane Beryl. We anticipate the final pass to progress faster than previous passes.

As a reminder, Fort Bend County residents should have all storm debris in front of their homes on the public right-of-way (the area of residential property that extends from the street to the sidewalk, ditch, utility pole or easement) no later than SATURDAY, AUGUST 31st to be eligible for pick-up.
Fort Bend County will not guarantee the removal of debris placed on the public right-of-way after the specified deadline. After the deadline has passed, it is on the property owner to arrange for transportation and disposal of storm debris. Remaining debris must meet your local solid waste, recycling, and yard waste collection guidelines, or be privately collected.

If you believe your storm debris was missed during initial passes, you can call the Fort Bend County Storm Debris Call Center Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Central Standard Time):
