Common Questions
How long does it take the Architectural Control Committee to review my Home Improvement Request?
The committee reviews applications as they are received however there are a large number of applications processed on a monthly basis, so the time frame for review varies. The committee has up to 30 business days (please note: business days, not calendar days) to make a decision, however, if the deadline is not met, the application is not automatically approved. Once a decision is made, a letter is mailed to your home.
If I'm "refreshing" something on my property or house, like the paint on my house, do I need to submit a home improvement application?
NO! If you are performing routine maintenance on your home or property (such as a fresh coat of paint in the same color), you do not need to complete an application. However, if you are changing something, you will need to submit a home improvement application for the change to your home or property.
Are city or county permits required for Home Improvement Requests?
No, city or county permits are not required in order to process your request. However, the property owner is responsible for complying with all city or county requirements for their property and their plans, securing permits, and obtaining any waivers of easements, as needed. Failure to do so may result in a fine from the city or county.
Are homeowners allowed to attend the Architectural Control Review meetings?
No. The ACC Meetings are closed to homeowners for your privacy.
Can my request be expedited?
Your request can only be expedited in the case that it is an EMERGENCY. Such as leaking roofs, exposed siding, etc. Swimming pool requests are notemergencies.
