Cypress Mill Residents: Here's What to Do If You Need a New Recycling Cart

September 24 2025

In Cypress Mill, doing your part for the environment starts right at the curb. Each home in the neighborhood is provided with a dedicated recycling cart through Best Trash—but what happens if yours disappears, breaks, or wears out?

Whether your cart is cracked from wear and tear or simply missing after a storm, here’s how to handle it.

Need a New Recycling Cart?

If your recycling cart is damaged through regular use or has become unusable, Best Trash will replace it free of charge. Just call their customer service line at 281-313-2378 to request a new one.

If your cart was lost or stolen, you can still request a replacement—just keep in mind that there is a $65.00 + tax fee. The same number applies: 281-313-2378. Once you call, a representative will guide you through the process to ensure you’re back up and recycling as quickly as possible.

One Cart Per Household

Keep in mind that Cypress Mill’s program provides one recycling cart per residence. If you’re a new homeowner or have just started participating in the program, Best Trash can confirm your household’s recycling schedule and answer any questions. You can also visit their website at Best-Trash.com for more information.

Recycling Fun Facts That Might Surprise You

If you’ve ever wondered whether recycling is really worth the effort, the numbers speak for themselves.

According to Greenstar Recycling, the average person generates nearly a ton of trash every year—but a big portion of that doesn’t need to go to a landfill.

Here are a few eye-opening stats:

  • 65% of the trash we throw away could actually be recycled.
  • Glass takes over 1 million years to decompose in a landfill, yet it can be endlessly recycled into new jars, bottles, dishes, and even jewelry.
  • Recycling just one aluminum can saves enough energy to power a TV for two hours, or a computer for three.
  • A used aluminum can might be back on a grocery shelf as a new can in just 60 days—that’s fast!

Helping Cypress Mill Stay Green

Maintaining your recycling cart is a simple but important way to keep Cypress Mill looking clean and running smoothly. If your cart needs replacing, don’t wait—give Best Trash a call and keep the recycling going strong.
